ABOUT OUR BACKGROUND

Manufacturing Engineering Services known as MES (NW) Ltd. was created by Neil Hodgkinson who was operating as a Project Engineer on behalf of large blue chip manufacturing companies.

Neil Hodgkinson MIET

Managing Director

Neil has spent 35 years in the manufacturing industry.
He is a Member of Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET) and a time served Toolmaker.
Neil also hold an HND in Engineering.

Positions he has held, predominantly in the Automotive Sector, include:

1. Apprentice
2. Production Engineer
3. Engineering Manager
4. Production Manager
5. Plant Manager
6. Operations Manager
7. Managing Director

Neil has introduced many new products into production including:

1. Nissan Bluebird & Premera Rear Mufflers
2. Ford Transit Exhaust Systems
3. Range Rover Exhaust Systems
4. Ford Transit 17 seat minibus and EL van vehicles

These projects involved process development from drawings, full tooling and facilities preparation.

He has overseen a number of medium to large projects for large OEM and Tier 1 automotive companies involving Civil Engineering & Plant Engineering Works.

Ged Walker

Operations Director

Ged has 21 years experience within the following the sectors

Ged is fully time served with a mechanical & fabrication bias. He has worked on project s for large organisations such as Getrag-Ford Transmissions, Jaguar Land Rover, Vauxhall Motors, Toyota UK, Airbus UK, ICI Polymers, INEOS Chlor, Octel, UPM, SSE, Magna & Corus.

Ged has managed a wide variety of small/medium/large projects ranging from pipeline installations, civils projects, production line installations and production line decommissioning project to name a few. His expertise include Maintenance Engineering Technologies, Steel Fabrication Works, Pipeline Installations & Systems, Installing Plant/Machinery and Associated Equipment, Hydraulics & Pneumatics, Project Management & Site Management.
